Got a Daylight text?
Your coach sent you a check-in. Here's what happens, and what happens to your video.
Daylight: it’s time for a check-in. Due by 4:00 PM.
Messages · nowWhat to do
- Open the link in the text. It works in Safari or Chrome.
- If you use a BACtrack C8, wait at least 20 minutes after eating, drinking, or smoking.
- Allow the camera and microphone. You'll get three words to say.
- In one video: say the words, blow until the device signals it's done, then show every digit of the reading.
- Tap Finish recording, then Upload recording. Keep the page open until you see Video received.

- Who sees my video
- Your coach. Daylight has no shared access, so no one else at your coach's practice can open it. Core Values Recovery's administrator can view records read-only for support, and every view is logged.
- Where it goes
- Into private storage under your coach's account. A copy goes to Google's Gemini so it can note the words, the breath sample, and the reading. Daylight asks Google to delete that copy afterward; Google's own policies cover it.
- How long it's kept
- The original is kept with your coach's records. Daylight doesn't delete videos automatically, and you can't delete them yourself. To ask for a video to be removed, ask your coach or write to support@corevaluesrecovery.com.
- Who decides
- Your coach, not a computer. If something goes wrong, like glare on the screen, your coach can ask for a new check-in.
- Who gets told
- Only the people your coach set up with you. Texts and emails never include your name or your reading.
- If I miss one
- It's marked missed once the deadline passes, and anyone your coach set up to hear about misses is told. A late video is still received and labeled late, and your coach decides what it means.
- Does my breathalyzer work?
- Any breathalyzer with a screen works. The BACtrack C8 is read automatically; with other devices, your coach reads the screen.
- Does it cost me anything?
- Daylight bills your coach, not you. Ask your coach whether any of it is passed on to you.
- How to stop
- Reply STOP. Requests pause, and you'll be asked to talk to your coach to start again.
